Questions about an official Giles County criminal record belong with the office that created or keeps it. Giles County has separate counters for Circuit Court, General District Court, and J&DR Court, while police incident records remain with the originating agency. Virginia State Police handles statewide criminal histories and the state registry. The routes below use only contacts verified in the Giles County research.

This Is Not a Government Office. This private reference site cannot retrieve, correct, remove, or certify a criminal record. It cannot conduct an official background check or accept a court filing.

A narrow Virginia Freedom of Information Act request should name the record, date range, originating agency, and incident, booking, or case number when known. Do not assume the sheriff holds a town police report or that a court clerk holds a booking file.
